Bob Patacini, from Prosser, WA came on July 13th and did
ultrasound on our lambs, measuring the loin eye and amount of backfat.
This year we had a ewe
lamb, #58B, who is a maternal
sister to the 2008
Champion ewe.
58B scannned a 4.19" loin eye. This is the largest scan we have had on a ewe lamb!
58B is also a great, great, great granddaughter of B2, the ewe pictured on the left that had the quintuplets this January!
Below, is our neighbor, Gertie, she was a great help on a hot, hot day!
The top scanning ram lamb had a loin eye measure-
ment of 4.1". Overall, our lambs scanned the largest
loin eyes with the lowest backfat since we started
scanning about four years ago.
